BEDDING FOR DOGS

 
Another hot topic when people come to see me is what kind of bedding should I use for my dog?

We prefer to use for our dogs a vet bed which is called Pro fleece.  Their are other makes out their cheaper, but this bedding is tough, hard wearing and washes well, and dry's quickly.  So this is the top bedding that I would recommend.  No bedding is Weimaraner proof, none exists as they learn to eat the lot.  But vet bed is the toughest.  I can also tell you that my dogs have chewed it up and it has come through other end fine :-0 yes they do this!  I have pictured above River on some vet bed for you to see.

If you want to put a basket in the house crate use a plastic hard wearing basket with a cut up square of vet bed in it. This is your best option. 

Baskets made of fabric are pretty, and cute now a days but not ideal to leave with Weimaraner puppies in a house crate unattended.  They will chew it and will pull out the stuffing.  These kind of baskets are best left in the lounge under supervision.
