PEDIGREE
NAME: Pinkipug Proper Pickle
PET NAME: Frankie
MICRO CHIPPED, KENNEL CLUB REGISTERED.
Frankie
is owned by Rachel. Named by Darryl and Josh.
Frankie is our introduction to a small toy breed
of dog. I have been looking it has to be
said for about 2 years now for a different
breed, one that takes little coat care, and one
that has the attitude to live with big dogs.
With in mind that we are not getting any younger
and in another 10-15 years I can not see us
having lots of Weimaraners but maybe just the
one. The reasons are Weimaraners are not
easy dogs to own, take a lot of exercise and we
are not getting any younger and we want to in 10
years travel the world and leaving large dogs
behind is not as practical as small dogs we can
leave with friends and family. I always
said I would never be one of those old ladies in
the show ring not able to run the big dog
around, and knowing when we cant cope with a
large dog and having the common sense to call it
a day with the larger breed. So this is
why Frankie came into our lives.
Frankie is a pet pug. I would just like to
say please do not contact me for a pug puppy as
Frankie is the only pug we have. She will
have a litter when she is two we hope but
nothing is planned. We are enjoying her
puppyhood. She is our baby.
Frankie has blown us all away, her big dog
attitude in a little dog frame quite frankly
astounds me. I worried was I doing the right
thing, would my other dogs accept her. I found a
fantastic breeder/friend Lisa Baker who bred her
bitch Tilly, What appealed to me was Tilly
whelped naturally herself and so did Tilly's
mother. A good start I thought.
Frankie has the curliest tail. It goes around
and around. What amuses me is that when
she is asleep its completely straight. Its
great learning the little things about a dog
that you just never knew before about a breed.
Frankie's breeder did a fantastic job as Frankie
walked in the door as if she had lived with us
all her known life. What an angel she is.
Hillarious in character, has us in stitches some
evenings watching her. As Lisa says "Do
not underestimate the pug"! Oh how true those
words are.
Frankie is developing into a mummy's girl. She
is spoilt rotten and where ever I am, the pug is
there too. Curled up on my seat. She every
evening has to sit next to me. She also has
learned how to get up the stairs and beg to get
in bed with me. Chilli still has his royal
spot of fuss on our bed, but he has had to learn
to share with the puglet.
Here
are some photos of Frankie below. I will add a
photo album as she grows up as at the moment I
do not have enough photos to make one.
