PEDIGREE NAME: SHELSEIVAD GINGERS GIFT TO SILVESTRE
PET NAME: SCARLET
HIP SCORE:6:8
MICRO CHIPPED.

Scarlet was named by Rachel because she always wanted a dog called Scarlet and somehow it did not suit a Weimaraner.  Scarlet came into our lives in 2006 Her father is the famous imported Australian dog Hungargunn Bear It'n Mind who is the CC title holder in the UK and also an Australian champion.  He also won best in show at Crufts 2010.

Scarlet was our introduction to the Hungarian Vizsla breed and she is the elegant lady.  It is in fact Scarlet's fault that we are now totally smitten with the breed.  After wanting a second breed for several years we were lucky to have Scarlet off Hillary and Emma Davis of Shelseivad Weimaraners and Hungarian Vizslas.

Scarlett has qualified for Crufts several times over in her life, and she has been to Crufts and won a second place in her class. We were so pleased with her.  She however is not a dog that enjoys showing so we did retire her.

Scarlet is probably the best dog I have ever owned in my life.  She is what I call my guardian angel. With out her I would be lost. She is my protector and little guard, not in an aggressive way but this dog has a sixth sense for danger and alerts me if something is not right.  Be warned if you come in my house and Scarlet does not like you, then I wont like you either. We have a special bond and I listen to this dogs instincts. She saved our lives in Scotland when we did not realise the sea was coming in behind us as we were in a cove. She alerted us by running in large circles and stamping her feet, the curiosity got the better of me watching what I thought was a mad dog. Followed her and saw the inlet of sea coming in fast behind us. We gathered up our things and left. Scarlet is like all our Hungarians a house dog. I will NEVER kennel a Hungarian vizsla because they feel the cold, and their human bond is so strong that they cant cope with out it. I admire this quality. I call them wuss's but in fact we adore this about them. I could never live with out a Hungarian Vizsla, and we holiday around our dogs. Our family adore them. Our elderly parents, and our children. They are truly spoilt vizsla and they know it.

Scarlett is not a dog to bark unless their is a reason to. She is a dog that lives on the sofa. Her photo below is on her sofa.  Scarlet eats raw food like the rest of my dogs. Chicken, tripe, chicken carcass, veg, fruit, and she eats occasionally natures menu when Im feeling lazy. Scarlet has had two litters and we are in no rush for a third. Although it would be nice its not happened this year. We would only breed Scarlet to keep a puppy because as far as we are concerned she is the queen of the house.  She even has her old lady grey whiskers coming. I wonder what she will look like with a white head because Vizsla heads turn white, or pinkish lol. With the white hairs that will come on their head.  Scarlett will live with me until the day she dies.  We have had lots of people writing asking if we would sell her or rehome her. The answer is a no.

Scarlett's daughters are Amber and Ruby there fore any offspring they have, Scarlett is Grandma.  Everyone who has come to our house has told us how lovely it is to meet Grandma as well as mum and dad of their puppies.  One big happy Vizsla family.
